My New Year’s Resolution was to get all my cars working. This meant getting around to working on some cars that I had set aside due to the nature of their issues. What I found on a couple of them was quite unusual and I thought this one was worth sharing.

Spring has finally arrived, bringing with it some of the best driving weather of the year! For those of us with convertibles—like my 1978 450SL and 2007 CLK 63—this is the season we’ve been waiting for. There’s nothing quite like hitting the road with the top down, enjoying the open air and the incredible roads that Georgia has to offer.

MBCAEF would like to work with local chapters to bring the enthusiasm we have for Mercedes-Benz to local automotive vocational high schools and colleges. To that end we have set aside $500 each for the first ten chapters who agree to establish a long-term relationship with their local automotive vocational high school or college.

I’m going to cover a trivial issue, though it didn’t seem so trivial when it happened to me while driving the 1992 300CE-24 about 60 in the left lane of I95 through Jacksonville. I felt a thunk in the throttle and then suddenly had no throttle control. The engine went to idle and stayed there no matter what I did with the gas pedal. R129 Fuse Box

How Could I Be this Stupid? Oh the Fuse Confusion. Sometimes you do something incredibly dumb, not realizing it at the time. Sometimes it costs a lot and inconveniences your friends and relatives too. Sometimes it even causes you to waste your most precious commodity, time. I did this; I thank the folks that helped me get through the predicament I created, and I will now confess how I screwed it...

Rusty and Michele Duncan

I wanted to introduce or reintroduce our new MBCA Peachtree President. Rusty was born in Dallas, Texas, but only stayed there a year or two. He grew up in western Massachusetts, when he wasn’t in boarding school in Connecticut. Rusty attended Northwestern in the Chicago area, where he received his BA in Comparative Literature. Then, he moved to Atlanta in 1988. Rusty completed his MBA at...
