The annual Great Car Show returns on July 17th. There's something for everyone at this expansive display of all things automotive on the lawn at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. From brass to contemporary electrics, '50s classics to '60s muscle, two-seat British to expensive German and way more. Bring your Benz and join your fellow club members and Mercedes groupies on Sunday the 17th, rain or shine.
This is the annual fundraiser for the Kansas City Automotive Museum and the National WWI Museum and Memorial. We meet at Your Classic Ride, on the south side of 27th Street between Grand and Warwick, between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. Once assembled, we'll caravan the short distance west to the museum's main entrance so we can all enter the display grounds at the same time. Cars are parked for display strictly in the order in which they arrive at the entry gate to the grounds, so it's absolutely essential that you're in Mercedes caravan if you wish to park with our club members.
Registration in advance is required and closes July 15 (or earlier if the display space sells out). There is absolutely no same-day registration for display vehicles.
Planning is still in progress, but in past years multiple food and beverage trucks have been available on site, and museum entry and restrooms (and air conditioning!) are available. We'll have a pop-up tent for limited shade. Don't forget a lawn chair. You're welcome to bring a cooler with snacks or soda, but alcoholic beverages must be purchased on-site.
