Thirty-six folks in 18 cars joined us the 2019 Fall Overnighter in Fredericksburg, TX.  The always-fun WW2 airbase-themed Hangar Hotel, which is just a short hop away from Fredericksburg's main drag, served as our headquarters.

On Saturday we made our way from Fort Worth to Fredericksburg on roads less traveled.  Lunch was at the excellent Cooper's BBQ at Llano.  After lunch, we proceeded to Messina Hof Hill Country for wine-tasting and a short winery tour.  After our winery visit, we explored Fredericksburg on our own to do some shopping, visit the National Museum of the Pacific War, sample a local craft beer, and/or see the many other things that Fredericksburg has to offer.  We had our group dinner at Bella Sera, an Italian eatery close to the hotel.  After dinner, we spent the rest of the evening at the Hangar's Officers Club to catch up with old friends and hopefully to make new ones.

On Sunday, we enjoyed a twisty, scenic drive through the heart of the Hill Country and headed to Kingsland.  Fellow members Ginny and Arno Pitzen graciously hosted lunch for our group at their new home. After lunch, we drove home on our own.
