On Saturday November 2, 18 MBCA-Houston members made our second annual visit to the Hemi Hideout. The group assembled at the Starbucks in Katy Mills and then took a 20 minute MB caravan west on I-10 to the Brookshire, TX location. We joined up with many other car clubs who were invited to an early tour of the facility before the doors were opened to the public. The $10 entrance fee is matched by John Hovas, the owner of Hemi Hideout, pictured with Board member, Ken Stuntz, and then donated to local charities. John gave a 15 minute talk to the car clubs stressing the continued growth of Hemi Hideout that the displays we saw last year he has added to and will continue to add displays each year in the future. Currently he has 24 classic Dodge and Plymouth Hemi machines and over 600 vintage oil company and dealership signs, some reproductions and some original ones dating back to the early 1900’s. New this year was antique farm machinery, next year, who knows. If you missed this event you missed a nostalgic walk thru the past!
