On Sunday, August 25, 2019, Chicagoland Section Members participated in our annual pilgrimage to the Geneva Concours d’Elegance.  As in past years, the Concours produced a fantastic classic, exotic and race automobile event that showcased the heritage, artistic and engineering significance of the automobile in the surroundings of historic Geneva, Illinois. For 2019 it featured STuTZ, Allard, Fintailed Automobiles, the 100th Anniversary of the Bentley Motor Car Company, and celebrated the Sports Car Club of America's Diamond Anniversary.More than twenty-four Mercedes-Benz treasures populated the Car Club Display Area, which generated at least $480.00 for the Geneva Concours' charity beneficiary, the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. We enjoyed a fantastic brunch at Stockholm's Restaurant and Micro-Brewery, a Section Sponsor, where Ron Roush, Past Chicagoland President, was recognized for his 10 years of service and dedication to the MBCA and presented with his Past-President’s Pin.  Michael Olesan, the owner of Stockholm’s, announced he now has 897,000 miles on his '72 MB 350 SL.  Member Don Anderson, 88 years young, joined us in the club parking area with his 2018 E-Class wagon, and he discussed a successor to his car for next year.Great weather, great people, and great cars combined for a Perfect Day!
