The Cincinnati Section along with members of the St. Louis Gateway Section, Western Reserve Section, and Niagara Section visited the famous Bourbon Country over the weekend of September 24th and 25th. We started the morning with an hour and a half rallye from Northern Kentucky to our First distillery stop Buffalo Trace. Ten cars made the trip down though some gorgeous scenery. Once at buffalo Trace we met up with Regional Director Rick Siefert, and 5 other members of the St. Louis Gateway Section, for an amazing tour of the Buffalo Trace Grounds and rick houses. In all Twenty-Six members made the tour and following the tour we ate some great seafood, and lunch at Jim’s Seafood. From there we hurriedly rallied to Woodford Reserve, where we were given a great tour. From there some of us branched off to the Hotel, and others went to the final distillery Town Branch.

After the tours, we relaxed in the hotel for a bit before a wonderful dinner at Le Deauville Restaurant. Food was great, and the conversation was even better.

On Saturday Morning, we visited a small micro distillery called Barrel House Distilling Co. This was a small tour but very informative and one of the more innovative tours we were on.
