Westerly‟s famous beaches offer something for everyone: sand, surf, excitement or tranquility.  As Rhode Island‟s largest state beach, it has a moderate surf and little undertow, with areas for body and board surfing.  This seven-mile stretch of sand and surf is a mecca for family fun with its wide array of attractions, including an amusement park, waterslides, carousel, mini golf and other activities.

Southeastern Connecticut‟s largest beach and boardwalk, fresh-water pool, miniature golf, kiddie rides, playground, family arcade, carousel, nature walk, and gift shop,   

Science Center of Eastern Connecticut  New London, CT 15 Minutes
Young and old can explore and discover science through hands-on interaction with sound and light equipment, computers, puzzles and paradoxes, live animals and more.  Hiking trails, herb garden, picnic area and science store.  Programs for all ages.    

Old Norwichtown Burial Ground  Norwich, CT  5 Minutes
Old Burying Grounds will interest genealogist and admirers of the tombstone carver‟s art.  Governor Samuel Huntington, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and Hannah Arnold, mother of Benedict Arnold, are buried here. Located near the Lowthorpe Meadows, the 18th Century cemetery is a tranquil sanctuary in which to ponder New England‟s past.

Our 'ballooning season' in Eastern Connecticut is usually from April through December. However, they will fly any time of the year if the weather permits. Balloon rides are approximately one-hour in duration with champagne and a Certificate of First Flight after landing. They currently have two 5-person balloons operating, 4 passengers and 1 pilot per balloon. Groups larger than 8 passengers can be accommodated by utilizing other balloon ride companies, if available for the date you request.

Arboretum and Thames Center  New London, CT  15 Minutes
The Connecticut College Arboretum was established in 1931 on the campus of Connecticut College, a private, co-ed, liberal arts institution. Today, the Arboretum encompasses approximately 750 acres of preserved open space in the city of New London and the town of Waterford in southeastern Connecticut, including the Connecticut College Campus.  

Sailing      Mystic, CT    30 Minutes
Embark on a cruise aboard Argia, home-ported in nearby Mystic, CT.  Argia, her very name conjures up images of the legendary Goddess who inspired men to sail the seas.  Argia is an authentic replica of a 19th century gaff-rigged schooner, complete with varnished mahogany interiors and brass lamps.  This magnificent 81‟ vessel was designed by, and built to Captain Frank Fulchiero‟s high standards, and is fully approved by the US coast Guard.
