We have owned it 40 nearly about 38 years, It is currently registered and smogged, although it is used rather little and is surplus to our needs. It is running and is used occasionally but it needs some TLC and at my age that is somewhat beyond me. I am asking $5000 for the car, which is probably fair, but I am more concerned with finding a good home for the car and the price is negotiable. At some time not too far away we shall just donate it to a PBS station. It is red.
The condition of the car is fair. It has a hard top with a stand for its storage. Known problems include a stuck petrol gauge and probably the central locking system. This Mercedes 450SL is a federal car. It is, perhaps, worth noting that the car has twice passed the smog test, on separate occasions, while firing on 7 of 8 cylinders because of an oiled spark plug. When running properly it is very clean. Mileage is about 160,000 miles. The car is currently registered and smogged till March 2026.
