Join the Mile HighChapter on Saturday, May 23, 2026, for a special history presentation and P-47 flight demonstration at the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs.
The program, “American Airborne and ‘A Bridge Too Far,’” will explore Operation Market Garden, the bold Allied airborne campaign of September 1944. Museum Lead Docent and retired Army Colonel Ted Severn will focus on the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, with a weather-permitting flying demonstration of the museum’s P-47 Thunderbolt following the presentation. Doors open at 8:00 a.m., and the presentation begins at 9:00 a.m.
