Looking for sources to purchase a W108, specifically a 280SE 4.5.
I am wanting to purchase the v8 to be able to drive frequently.
My goal is for one that has been well maintained and ready to be enjoyed with minimal effort or deferred maintenance.
I own a 76 450slc, so I know what it is like to own an older Mercedes and know the expense of bringing one back from neglect.
I would like a nice interior and decent body.....I'm not interested in dealing with rust.
I am certainly not looking for a perfect 10, but would like a nice drivable example that I can be proud to own for the long term.
I've had my eye on the typical BaT, cars.com, autotrader, market place.
Any other recommended on-line sites or dealers I should be targeting? Know of any private party looking to move on?
Ideally, I would like one from close to Missouri for personal inspection/etc.
