The Fox Hunters Grill Drive-N-Dine

Thanks to Bill Drum for many of the pictures.

The August Drive-N-Dine was planned as a low key drive thought attractive roads and dine in an interesting restaurant.  The south side contingency departed Lake Wright under a pretty sky. We hit showers driving up I-64 and a drenching rain after meeting the second contingent on route 17.  We drove up the Colonial Parkway in a true downpour.

Drive to Fox Hunters Grill

We met the Williamsburg group at the Kingsmill Marriott.
The sun was out again but the evidence of rain was evident.
We had ten cars and about 25 people for the event.

We gathered in the parking lot now that the rain had ceased.
Bill Drum's 380SL is ready for the ferry ride.

The Hotel

Robby Ackerman talking with Vince Canepa and Lee Gordon.
Roy Wiley and others chatted.
Some of us chatted too long as the leaders departed on the scenic drive.  Fortunately, we had enough information, maps and "know how" to locate the Fox Hunters Grill on the Chicahominy River.

 Dinner

All was well as the groups met at the restrauant.
The Fox Hunters grill is located at a resort on the Chicahominy River, far from any main road.
The food was excellent.

Coffee on the Patio

After dinner, we gathered on the patio for coffee and more chatting.
