Secondary gas tank

I have a 2000 E320. I would like to have 40gal of gas available. Is there a secondary tank available for the car?
I've read of secondary tanks in the spare tire compartment.
Thoughts?

Nothing from the factory. You could have a fuel cell fabricated for the car, the spare tyre well being a definite option.
Dual fuel systems are far more popular these days so getting the necessary bits for a seamless switch b/w tanks should be a none issue.
