Does W107 280SL Euro has this FI Control Unit.
Hello Pierre,

Thanks for providing the maintance tips for the D-Jetronic.  I have a 1980 280SL Euro version with a M110 engine 2.8 and I believe it has the same D-Jetronic.  Please correct me if I am wrong!  I am doing a project which I used this 280SL Euro as a donor car.  My shop is now putting everything together and we are about to connect the wiring harness back to start the engine.  It seems like the Fuel Injection Control Unit is missing.   Perhaps, during the the disassemble process, someone must throw it away or put it some where and I wasn't able to to locate it.  Would you be very kind to answer the following questions:

1.  I was able to locate the ignition module control unit.  Is this the only electronic device for the ignition system in my 280SL Euro version.
2.  Does my 280SL Euro equipped with Fuel Injection Control Unit.  Where can I locate in my 280SL?
3.  If the Fuel Injection Control Unit is needed for the ignition systerm, can I use the FI Control Unit from 380SL or 450SLC.  I have seen many for sale at Ebay in a very reasonable price.
4.  What is the part no. for FI control unit for my 280SL and 380SL/450SLC?
5.  What is the different between D or K Jetronic?

Really appreciate if you could share this information with me and other members.

Look forward to your friendly advise.

Thank you
