We kicked off our 2009-10 season at our usual location: The board room at Mercedes-Benz of Miami. We gave the usual reports, reviewed our events of last year and announced planned events as well as events in the planning stage for the months to come. Sales Rep Kevin Cayard gave a thorough introduction to the new E-Class. Very impressive car and equally impressive presentation.

One of the highlights of the meeting was Gordon Derman's bride's first MBCA meeting. Nina has just arrived from China and Gordon is very happy, and we are happy for both of them. Congratulations Gordon and Nina.

The Oktoberfest event on October 3 is our first major event of the season and the sponsors have gone all out to ensure that we have a good time. Check out the Upcoming Events page.

One important issue emerged: Joe Schumann needs help with the newsletter. He needs a member to come forward and volunteer to help produce the newsletter. We are required to publish our newsletter four times a year. This is very important, so please contact Joe (his contact info is on Directors Page.)

The Annual Meeting is our first event of the season. It was held at Mercedes-Benz of Miami and chaired by President Gabriel Gomez. Jerry and Ruth Cohen announced that they wouldn't be standing for reelection as they have a lot of exciting travel plans and won't likely be as available as they would like for our activitiy planning. So we lost the Cohens, but we picked up as new directors Linda Schwartz (second row, right), Steve Bromfield (floral shirt, right below Linda) and Gary Keaster (bottom left, with Gabe Gomez, his wife, June, and Otilio Rojas.) Once again, our thanks go to MB Miami for their generous support. Don't forget to show your membership card amd ask for your discount when getting service or parts.
