Joint poker run with the Ozark section and Amish Lunch Saturday May 11, 2024

The Eastern Oklahoma section will meet at Jackie Cooper Mercedes Benz at 7:30am and depart at 7:45 am sharp. After departing Tulsa, we will head to the Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs OK to meet up with the Ozark section.   At this point we will draw our first playing cards.

We will take a drive through western Arkansas and the eastern Oklahoma countryside and make 3 additional stops with our final stop being at the Yoder Amish farm in Choteau for sit down family style all-you-can-eat lunch.  We expect to have lunch at 2:00pm

If you have never been on a poker run, it is a lot of fun.    Participants choose a playing card from the deck of cards at each stop.  The player with the best 5 card hand (total points) at the end wins $5 from each person in the pool.  (aces are worth only 1 point, royalty cards are best, and face cards count the points on the face.

The entry fee for the poker run is $15 per player-with $5 going to the Alzheimer Association, $5 going to the winner of the Poker run, and $5 split between the two sections for their treasury.  In addition, we will have a gift basket drawing for all participants.

The two-meat Amish lunch is $18 per person plus tip  (cash or check, no credit cards).  Checks can be made payable to Barbera Jean Yoder. Our all-you-can-eat meal includes the following:

  • Oven Roasted chicken and Roast beef
  • Mashed potatoes and gravy
  • Noodles and dressing
  • stuffing
  • Green beans
  • Coleslaw
  • Dinner rolls, with butter, honey, or apple butter
  • Tea, water or coffee
  • Strawberry and coconut creme pie for dessert

If you are NOT going on the Poker run but want to meet for lunch, let us know so we can add you to the list.

In addition, should you like to order a whole pie from Mrs.  Yoder, you can call and leave a message on their voicemail ($15 per pie).    918 543 4290       Choose from the following pies:
