Newsletter Committee

The Newsletter Committee has three main purposes:

1. To provide information that will assist newsletter editors in producing a high-quality publication that will appeal to their section's members.

2. To develop and run an annual contest in which sections can submit their newsletters for national recognition. The contest also provides guidelines for achieving this recognition and gives feedback to sections that submit newsletters for consideration. The criteria include guidelines for design, content, editing, printing, and distributing newsletters.

3. To provide guidelines for newsletter editors that will assist them in observing MBCA's trademark and logo requirements (as defined in the MBCA Procedures Manual) and, thus, to avoid any non-compliance letters from the MBUSA or DaimlerChrysler legal staffs.

The MBCA Section Rebate program was designed to provide funds for sections to create and distribute their newsletters and to assist in financing section activities. Producing a newsletter at least quarterly is one of the requirements to receive the section rebate.
