Spring National Board Meeting 2008

Join us on May 15th- 17th in Canandaigua, NY, for the Spring National Board Meeting, hosted by the Finger Lakes Section. For more information please visit: http://www.mbca.org/fingerlakes/

There will be committee meetings held on Thursday and Friday, May 15 and 16, a Regional Director Meeting on May 16 and the National Board Meeting on May 17. All members, as usual, are welcome and encouraged to see your National Board in action.

The MBCA National Board meets in the Spring and Fall of each year, usually May and always in November, to conduct the business of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. Sections, through the appropriate Regional Director, are encouraged to propose hosting the Board Meeting. The National President, with approval of the board, determines the date and location of each meeting.

The Fall Meeting is considered to be the "annual" meeting when the National Budget is presented for approval and event and committee planning takes place for the next calendar year. The Spring meeting is held to: (1) Review actual financial activity vs. budget; (2) Review event activity and status; (3) Report Committee accomplishments since the last meeting; and (4) Consider other matters that may be presented for board action or review. Information as to current Committees and Committee Chairs is listed in each issue of the Star Magazine. Members are encouraged to submit/propose items for board consideration through their section officers and regional directors National Meetings are attended by Directors at Large, Regional Directors, Committee Chairs and appointees and the MBCA Executive Director from the National Business Office.

Members are encouraged to attend these meetings and learn how the club is working to build membership and to protect the dues of the membership and the assets of the club.
