45th Annual NNJS June Jamboree

The 45th Annual June Jamboree will be held on Saturday, June 14th at Mercedes-Benz USA Headquarters in Montvale, New Jersey.

As for the past forty-four years, there will be magnificent examples of Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship and luxury on display as well as a great variety of beautiful vintage, classic and modern models. The event will be held rain or shine. The Concours Classes will be judged by teams of judges while all those who register a car for the Jamboree may vote for the popular car of their choice in each of the Popular Vote categories.

Concours Cars will need to be cleaned and detailed both inside and out, while popular vote cars need only to be clean and presentable.

Judged Categories

CONCOURS
 We will be using the MBCA National guidelines for our classes and the final groupings will be determined on the day of the show.
The cars will be divided into several different classes classified by chassis.

There must be three (3) cars in a class in order for the class to be judged. The Head Judge will determine the groupings if there are not three cars per class. The competitors will be informed of the groupings before the judging starts by an announcement over the speaker system.

CONCOURS CLASSES
A class shall have a minimum of three (3) entries. The class assignments can be made from the chart below: If there is insufficient number of entries for any class, the Concours Chairman of the event will group the entries for competition and will inform the competitor before judging starts. The classes may be divided into "Show","Street”, “Display”(not judged) and "Star Find of the Year."

POPULAR VOTE CATEGORIES

The Popular Vote Category has been increased this year as follows:

Registration will begin at 8:00 AM in the lobby of MBUSA.
If you are registering or have registered a vehicle for the Jamboree, please drive up and park outside while you register and pick up your packet. After you receive your registration packet, please proceed around the circular driveway in order to park your car.

You will then be directed as to where to park your vehicle. Your assigned parking slot will be on the window placard for your car, this will help the parking lot guides to direct you to the correct area. If you are not registering a vehicle, DO NOT drive up to the registration area; please follow the signs and park in the parking area.

After parking, please come in and let the registrars know that you are there and pick up your name tag.

The schedule for the day is as follows: Registration 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
Judging will begin at 10:30 am and there will no more detailing of the cars allowed. Pete Lesler, our club’s national president will be supervising the judging for this event.

Luncheon graciously provided by MBUSA will be served around 1:00 pm or as soon as the judging of the Concours cars is complete. All Popular Votes must be turned in before entering the lunchroom. Awards ceremony will follow the luncheon and the completion of the judging.

Pre-registration is encouraged and required for lunch only

Please send your name and phone number (email address – if you have one) along with the year, model, and choice of category to Lucille Chabala, 6 Brook Way, West Orange, NJ, 07052. Registration fee is $45 in advance and $55 the day of the event.

We ask everyone who plans to attend the June Jamboree to please pre-register even if you do not plan to show a car. If you are not registering a car in the show and would like to have lunch you must pre-register for the luncheon for a fee of $10.00 per person.

Directions:

From the Garden State Parkway North: Take the Grand Avenue exit and turn right at the end of the ramp. MBUSA Headquarters is on the right.

From the Garden State Parkway South: Go to the Montvale REST STOP, and follow the signs to the Parkway North (See above) Note: You enter the rest stop Southbound simply to reverse direction and exit the rest stop Northbound.
