June will be busy as we have a driving event / car show at
Luckenbach on the 20th. One of our newest members, Dave Silvestro has organized the event and details are posted below:

Join us on Saturday, June 20th for a Hill
Country drive out to the 6th Annual Luckenbach Car Show and a tour of
a local winery. The car show is a fun, family friendly event that
benefits the Boys and Girls Club. We will meet at Jim's restaurant at
the Y in Oak Hill and take the scenic route out to Luckenbach. If you
have a classic Mercedes and wish to display your car at the show, you
can either pre-register using the form on the website
www.rockincarshow.com or simply drive
up and register at the show. Live music will be provided by The
Flashbacks (1-4PM) and Austin Homegrown (6PM).
For the the winery tour, we will leave Luckenbach at 2:30PM for a tour
at 3PM. The tour will include the production facilities and the
opportunity for "barrel tasting". Other wines can be sampled in the
tasting room. After the tour, everybody is on their own. Feel free to
go back to the car show for the awards ceremony and live music, head
over to Fredericksburg for dinner or back to Austin.
Times: 8AM at Jim's Restaurant at the Y, 7101 W Highway 71.
- 9:30 Leave Jim's
- 11:00 Arrive in Luckenbach
- 12:00-12:30 Car seating finishes, judging starts
- 2:30 Leave for the winery tour at 3PM.
- 5:00-5:30PM Awards Ceremony

Bill Morrey and his staff will host the next Tech Session at
Ben's Workshop....we'll draw a 1995-2002 and 2003-2006 cars for a STAR
diagnostic session, so if you have any problems you've been concerned
with, now is a chance to have some experts go thru the car....buy you
must attend the June meeting to enter the drawing.
