OK, I gave my Mother the Lincoln and got my first MB -- may not need a second! While I await the factory CD for a 97 E420
I thought I could learn something about my new toy.
I see on the Internet that there are a couple of well-priced OBD II
software packages. I'm not looking for a pro version, but I would like to know if the advance curve is changing when I try to use mid range fuel. Does this engine have nock sensor?
Will I be able to track the valve timing?

What are your first hand experiences with what brand of OBD software?

I'll be reading all of those back issues of the STAR while I wait for the factory CD to even know where everything is located and how it should work.
