Does anyone know where I can obtain lug bolt that have a longer head so they fit flush to the face of the wheel. The common bolt causes the head of the bolt to be countersunk in the wheel.

Thanks for help.

John, I've seen them come up on ebay quite often. Tom will probably chime in here as a place to get them as well.

Thanks, Bill,

I appreciate your reply. I'll see if Tom responds to this message or I'll call him. They are for the 380SL.

Are your wheels the original 14" or replacement wheels of a later design? I have a "secret" for getting the original bolts for the later wheels until the supply dries up.

Lug Bolts

Hi Tom,

They are a later 15" eight hole design versus the 14" standard wheel that was original to the '83 380SL. The round taper of the seat is the same but head of lug bolt must be longer to fit flush with the face of the wheel.

I had the right bolts on the 16" wheels I had but sold them with the tires and wheels not thinking the new wheels didn't have the extended bolts.

Open to suggestion.

I can get them, providing the recently found supply hasn't dried up yet. Please call me Monday and I'll let you in on my "secret".
