When your car doesn't start properly when cold.

That's all it's used for--it's the fuel injection equivalent of fast idle cam on carbs.

You will lose power, like a hiccup and engine will need some help with gas.-) I had to diagnose it myself in a CIS-E VW and tell the mechanic to change it, after he made me change everyting else including the fuel pump.

If you have high idle when hot, it is more likely the oxygen sensor....

Depends on the car. If it's K-Jetronic/CIS is it very unlikely to be the O2 sensor.

thank you guys I found out My warmup regulator it's bad and That the Control unit box it's fried,, I think My Idle air speed control valve it's bad too :(

I Found both items on ebay,, Paid $100.00 for each, I ididn't buy the:o Idle air control Valve yet, I want to try to install the Idle control box first and to see what happens :(
