Hi all,
I own a 2006 E350 and would like to change the engine oil myself, but first I would like to know how to reset the service indicator light. I searched the owner's Manual and didn't find any instructions for this. I am new to Mercedes Benz so any help would be appreciated.

Just did the D service on the Wifes 2006 W211

1 key on #1 position
2 go to mph display in the cluster
3 press trip odometer knob three times (QUICK) voltage will appear on display
4 Select service menu using + or -
5 Service Indicator Displays Items
6 Press the menu systems button until the MPH display appears

joeym7,
No, I didn't take it in for inspection. My car now has over 13,000 miles on it. When is the first inspection scheduled?

Coioncidentally, 13K miles.

You should have a maintenance booklet that explains all this.

You are serious jeopardizing your warranty with your clueless behavior.

inspection

Hi Minh I think your first inspection is at 1,000 miles and its just a check over ,yet when I would do them I always had a check list to fill out and also loged it in the Veh computer sevice module.I think you are now at your first service so I would take it to the dealer and have it done and noted on your VMI ,also any updates will be done at this time,if you have any complaints ,or noises now is the time to have them written on the repair order in case of problems later on .Joeym

A little "tough love" is all!

He paid a LOT for that warranty.
