well the headliner on my 98 c230 is falling.

any input on what to do?

I figure pull the headliner panel and take it to a shop to be fixed.

thoughts?

Merrill, what was the outcome with your headliner? My 1999 C280's has "unglued" itself at the junction with the rear window's top and I've noticed that the sliding panel of the sunroof also shows signs of delaminating.

well yes.

buy a new one from the dealer and have it installed - at least that is what my friends at the parts counter say.

6 hours labor
700 for the headliner and about 200 for the sunroof.

I have not taken the car to a headliner shop.
The foam underneath comes apart. not sure if a shop can fix and re glue.

for now I have a spring clamp holding the headliner up. removed the rear dome light so I would have a place to clamp to .
