2003 C230 looses seat memory

2003 C230

The memory for the drivers seat does not hold for position #1. The mirrors on both sides point all the way down and the steering wheel goes up to maximum height. The seat and headrest seem to adjust appropriately. The memory for positions 2 and 3 seem to be fine. Any ideas on how to correct this. Positions 1 and 2 were the two used most often in the past.

my guess, it needs the Mercedes diagnostic computer ( I think internally known as SDS ). That computer can dive right into the ECU's, maybe not spell out the exact problem, but clue you in quick to the issues.
