Event Report
It was Lake Tahoe in January and still "No Chains Required."  With the winter being unusually warm, 20 Sierra Nevada members took their Mercedes-Benz' for a tour of Lake Tahoe.  We went through Mt Rose Pass at about 9,000 feet elevation, then around Lake Tahoe, and finally ended up at Walley's Hot Springs in Genoa for lunch.  Members Barry and Barbara Fleischer brought their absolutely perfect 1955 300SL Gullwing along for the trip, a real treat for everyone.  Along the way we encountered herds of deer, most out taking advantage of the great weather to graze on the exposed grass.  once at Walley's Hot Springs we were treated to a good lunch and great conversation.  The January impromptu run was an unexpected gift from Mother Nature during winter in an area that is known for its 20-foot snow drifts.
