Mercedes-Benz Club of America

Carolinas section

From The President's Desk

Our thanks to Henry and Katherine Dunbar for once again hosting a great Dock Party.

We had a great turnout, the best I’ve seen yet.  We had many veteran members and a good many new members come out to enjoy the beautiful weather, the camaraderie and the traditional Lowcountry Boil (or as it is called in my neck of the woods Frogmore Stew) a delicious combination of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, onions and corn on the cob.  The day couldn‘t have been better.  It was sunny and warm, but not too hot, the breeze was blowing to insure our comfort and an occasional dolphin swam buy to say Hi.

There was a great collection of Mercedes represented from old to new.  As always there was an n opportunity to talk about our cars, and although I’ve been in the club many years, I still learned a few things about my car and others that I didn’t know.  Everyone who attended enjoyed the day immensely. If you missed it, you really missed an excellent event.  However, don’t despair—we have a number of great events coming up.  See the calendar of events for our upcoming rallies, car shows and other social events.  If you’ve never come to a club event try to attend one soon.  You’re sure to enjoy the time with your fellow car buffs.

Sincerely

TONY SANTAGATI
