A Carolinas Section  Event

March 28 – 30, 2008  ~  S.C. Low-Country Auto Rallye & Awards  -  Bluffton, S.C.

Sponsor:  Carolinas Section  of MBCA  -  Rally Master: Tony Santagati  (Registration and $20 Awards Fee required) - Headquarter Hotel: Hilton Garden Inn - 1500 Queen Street (US-21, Boundary St at Greenlawn Dr)  -  Beaufort, S.C.  29902  -  (843) 379-9800.  Come early, join us at the Hilton Garden Inn on Friday night (March 28th) at 4:30-pm for the PRESIDENT’s RECEPTION.  Then it is on to a dutch-treat dinner at a very special place.  Saturday morning (March 29th) is our 2nd Annual “HELLO to SPRING” Auto Rallye day!!  Meet in the Parking Lot of the Hilton Garden Inn at 9:00-am for Meet & Greet, Rallye Rules & Routing, Picture-taking, etc.  The 1st Car will leave the Rallye Start Line at 9:45-am.  This will be a fun-filled, competitive driving experience through the quaint low-country and beach areas of South Carolina with perhaps a quick visit to Georgia.  The Rallye day will end at a unique low-country restaurant with a different kind of “car” theme.  After desert, Awards will be presented to Rallye participants.  Most importantly, is the opportunity to socialize with other Carolinas Section  members and talk about our Mercedes.  For REGISTRATION, Fee payment or more details, contact Tony Santagati  -  (843) 522-2111 or e-mail: sandspub@aol.com.

An Eastern  Regional Event

April  3 – 6, 2008  ~  Charlotte Auto Fair Spring Meet  -  Lowe’s Speedway  -  Charlotte, N.C.

Sponsor:  Hornets Nest Region ~ Antique Automobile Club of America  -  Host:  Lowe’s Motor Speedway  (Gate Admission Fee - $10.00)  -  A collector’s event with over 10,000 vendor & flea market spaces  to buy or sell restoration parts and supplies for all models.  There are over 1,800 Car Corral vehicle spaces for buying or selling all brands and types of collector vehicles.    Saturday, April 5th is AACA Spring National Car Show Day, which will include over 600 Antique vehicles competing for numerous AACA Awards.  The Show Awards will be presented at 3:00-pm.  For more information, visit website:  www.charlotte-autofair.com.

 

A Carolinas Section  Event

April 26, 2008  ~  Technical & Service Session  -  H & H Auto Service, Inc.  -  Hilton Head, S.C.

Sponsor:  Carolinas Section  of MBCA  -  Host:  H & H Auto Service, Inc.  (Registration required)  This Saturday morning Mercedes-Benz Technical and Service session is being held at Carolina Star advertiser, H & H Auto Service  -  #35 Hunter Road    Hilton Head Island, S.C. 29926  -  Phone: (843) 689-2549.  The session begins at 8:45-am with a donuts and coffee meet-and-greet time.  Then we’ll begin with an update on  Technical information, maintenance programs and tips.  We’ll discuss up-to-date Service information.  We’ll visit the Service department and review some of the service problems in process including the latest factory news.  We’ll end with a review of some of your Host’s collection of older model Mercedes-Benz.  About 12:30, H & H will also host a group lunch for all.  Come and enjoy Spring in the Low-country of South Carolina.  For directions, REGISTRATION or more details, contact Vicki or Bill Head of the Carolinas Section, (843) 816-5822 or (843) 681-8384 or e-mail: hhiheads@aol.com.

 

 

 

An Eastern  Regional Event

May 4, 2008  ~  Deutsche Marque Concours d’Elegance  -  Nottoway Park  -  Vienna, VA.

Sponsor:  Greater Washington Section of MBCA.  This is a multi-marquee auto show featuring Audi, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.  The 25th Annual Deutsche Marque Concours is being held at Nottoway Park, located at 9601 Courthouse Road in Vienna, VA., just outside of Washington, D.C.  The park will OPEN at 8:30-am for Show participants to begin placement of their vehicles.  General admission will begin at 9:00-am and the Judges will begin their reviews at 10:30-am.  Concours Awards for all Clubs will be presented at the Wine and Cheese Reception beginning at 3:00-pm.  Rain-Day is May 18th.  There is a $35.00 per vehicle Concours entry fee, payable at the gate.  For more details, visit website: www.gws-mbca.org.  For REGISTRATION and more information, please visit www.gws-mbca.org OR contact Ray Lombardo of the Greater Washington Section, Phone: (301) 388-0141 or e-mail: raymondalombardo@yahoo.com.

May 17, 2008  ~  S.C. Midlands Golf Outing and Auto Show  -  Columbia, S.C.

Sponsor:  Carolinas Section  of MBCA  -  Host: Oak Hills Golf Club  (Registration and $20 Awards Fee required) - Headquarter Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott - 111 Gateway Corporate Blvd.  -  I-77, Exit #19, Farrow Road, Hwy-555N  -  Columbia, S.C. 29203  -  (803) 736-3600.  Saturday morning Golf Outing: Oak Hills Golf Club7629 Fairfield Road (I-20, Exit #70) – Columbia, S.C. 29203 - Phone: (803) 735-9830.  9:15-am - Meet outside the Pro Shop at M-B signs for Meet & Greet, Pairing, Rules, Picture-taking, etc.  The 1st Foursome will Tee off at 10:00-am.  As you make the turn, stop in for a spot of lunch at the Oak Hills Grille.  This will be a fun-filled, Golf (not car) driving experience through 160 acres of gently rolling hills nestled among thousands of Oaks, Pines and picturesque Dogwoods.  As you stand on the elevated tee of #18, Par-5, take a moment to enjoy the panoramic view.  This course will offer a challenge to Golfers of all levels.  3:45-pm – Mercedes Show Time - Line up your Mercedes in the special area of the Parking lot for the Show Judges to review.  This fun-filled day will end as we gather at a unique Midlands area-restaurant for a dutch treat Dinner.  After desert, Awards will be presented to Golf and Auto Show participants.  Most importantly, is the opportunity to socialize with other Carolinas Section  members and talk about our Mercedes.  For REGISTRATION, Fee payment or more details, contact Fred Harris  -  (704) 902-6253 or (704) 871-1669 or e-mail: harrisfred@hotmail.com.

June  7, 2008  ~  Summer Outing Dock Party & Lunch - Dunbar Home - Charleston, S.C.
